Lingyu Desiccant Air Dryer

A desiccant air dryer is a type of compressed air dryer that uses a desiccant material to remove moisture from compressed air. Desiccant air dryers are commonly used in industrial applications where dry air is required, such as in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. There are several types of desiccant air dryers, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Heatless Desiccant Air Dryer:
Heatless desiccant air dryers use no external heat to regenerate the desiccant material. Instead, they rely on a process known as pressure swing adsorption (PSA) to remove moisture from the compressed air. In a heatless desiccant air dryer, the compressed air is first passed through a pre-filter to remove any large particles or contaminants. The air then flows through a bed of desiccant material, where moisture is absorbed. The dry air is then released from the dryer and used in the application. While the dry air is being used, another part of the dryer is being regenerated by passing a portion of the dried compressed air back through the desiccant bed. The moisture-laden air is then exhausted to the atmosphere. Heatless desiccant air dryers are simple to operate and maintain, but they are not as energy-efficient as other types of desiccant air dryers.

Heated Desiccant Air Dryer:
Heated desiccant air dryers use external heat to regenerate the desiccant material. This heat can come from a variety of sources, including electricity, natural gas, or steam. In a heated desiccant air dryer, the compressed air is first passed through a pre-filter to remove any large particles or contaminants. The air then flows through a bed of desiccant material, where moisture is absorbed. The dry air is then released from the dryer and used in the application. While the dry air is being used, another part of the dryer is being regenerated by passing a stream of heated air through the desiccant bed. The heated air removes the moisture from the desiccant material, which is then exhausted to the atmosphere. Heated desiccant air dryers are more energy-efficient than heatless desiccant air dryers, but they require more maintenance and are more expensive to operate.

Blower Purge Desiccant Air Dryer:
Blower purge desiccant air dryers use a blower to purge moisture-laden air from the desiccant bed. In a blower purge desiccant air dryer, the compressed air is first passed through a pre-filter to remove any large particles or contaminants. The air then flows through a bed of desiccant material, where moisture is absorbed. The dry air is then released from the dryer and used in the application. While the dry air is being used, a blower passes a stream of dry air through the desiccant bed to purge the moisture-laden air. The moisture-laden air is then exhausted to the atmosphere. Blower purge desiccant air dryers are more energy-efficient than heatless desiccant air dryers, but they are not as energy-efficient as heated desiccant air dryers.

Heat of Compression Desiccant Air Dryer:
Heat of compression desiccant air dryers use the heat generated by the compression process to regenerate the desiccant material. In a heat of compression desiccant air dryer, the compressed air is first passed through a pre-filter to remove any large particles or contaminants. The air then flows through a bed of desiccant material, where moisture is absorbed. The dry air is then released from the dryer and used in the application. While the dry air is being used, a portion of the compressed air is diverted. You can contact Lingyu Machinery - desiccant compressed air dryer.

The pressure dew point of our refrigerated dryer can reach 3~10oC. And adsorption dryer dew point has a variety of options. It's such as -20°C, -40°C and -70°C. And we can also customize special dryers, such as explosion-proof dryer, high pressure dryer and stainless steel compressed air dryer. Among them, the high pressure dryer can reach 100bar. Stainless steel dryers are widely used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
