Compressed air filter functions

The air goes through small openings in valves before it gets to where it needs to go. If dirty stuff like dust and water gets in the air that is squished, it can make things go wrong when it goes through parts. So, before air goes into the control circuit, a filter is used to take out bad things in the air.

If the air compressor doesn't filter out dirty things in the air, they can get sucked into the equipment as sand and rust. This will make it work badly because it will get stuck in the valve. Also, the air that goes into the compressor gets squished and is sent out with more pressure through the after-cooler and storage tank. When it gets cold, moisture in the air turns into rain, snow or hail. A lot of water is removed by the after-cooler, but a little bit can still get into the control circuit and parts. This can cause rust, damage, and remove the lubrication. When using compressed air, it also has dirty oil mist that can stick to parts and mix with other dirt to form sludge. This can build up in small spaces and make the machine not work well.

Air filters clean the air that is pressed, making the pneumatic control circuit work better. Usually, when there are machines that use valves and controls to move things, they have filters that can separate things and clean them too. If you need to get rid of all the oil mist, use an oil mist filter. We need to use a filter to stop pollution from getting into the air, especially from big engines that create harmful oil mist. Filters can be used to take out bacteria and bad smells in medicine, food, and other special situations.
