Uses of Atlas Air Filters

Sometimes, connecting equipment to equipment that produces compressed air does not solve the quality of compressed air. In order to achieve better mechanical efficiency and product quality, compressed air users need to understand how to obtain good compressed air inside the air supply system, so Atlas air filters are used.

Compressed air treatment consists of several components (pre-filtration by filter or filter-drier combination, secondary filter concentrator and concentration treatment, etc.), while we can also help you plan a complete solution individually. A person who wants to select a filter first becomes familiar with the functional data relevant to the filter and is able to set uniform initial conditions (pressure, flow, ambient and inlet temperature, relative humidity, etc.).

When analyzing filter efficiency, pay attention to the replacement cycle of filter elements. Many enterprise users believe that extending the working life of filter elements can reduce production management costs. On the contrary, a filter element full of dirt particles will increase the pressure in different parts of the air compressor, and the energy consumption of the entire compressed air station will also increase. Therefore, unless there is some new solution, such as the development of technology to help filter monitoring, we should always pay attention to changes in filter pressure.

When the maintenance cost of Atlas air filters is at a small value, it is not the time to replace these filters. In other words, if the cost of element material is less than what the old element is expected to consume, then this is the time to replace the filter element. The working principle of the air filter is that the compressed air containing dust, oil, rust, moisture and other harmful substances is brought into the filtering device of the compressed air filter.

The coalescing effect occurs when compressed air can pass through a tubular mesh filter. Larger particles are absorbed by the filter and the water condenses into one larger droplet. When entering the separation chamber, the compressed air slows down, the particles gather together again, and the water mist condenses on the water collector again. The water carrying impurity particles flows along the bottom to the drainage system, which is discharged through the automatic data valve or electric drain valve.

More than 95 percent of the water droplets, oil and large particles in the compressed air, are filtered by the Atlas air filter and enter the next filter, the compressed air equipment located after the filter. In the next stage, when the compressed air passes through the special cotton fiber filter, thousands of small vortices will be generated, and at the same time, the compressed air will be accelerated dozens of times to form a vacuum state. The unfiltered water droplets are vaporized, converted, and filtered out again, and particles as small as 5 microns are completely removed by the filter. The two-stage filtration system can achieve clean and dry compressed air free of dust, rust, oil, and water droplets, ensuring the normal operation of pneumatic technical equipment and prolonging the service life of pneumatic control equipment.
